Thunderbolt

Thunderbolt™ Anchors: The original and Bestselling General Purpose All-Metal Anchor

The one and only Thunderbolt™ is the original self-tapping anchor with the power to be used on a whole range of construction materials including concrete, brick and stone.

It is a one-piece, non-expansion anchor, meaning that it does not require a wall plug or resin, and therefore makes it ideal for close to edge fixing applications. The threaded anchor and self-tapping action allow for safe anchorage, with the substrate becoming the nut to the bolt.

Installation is quick and easy, making it the ideal general-purpose anchor, even on temporary jobs as it's completely removable. Using standard size drill bits it is a reliable fix for any job.

Truly versatile, Thunderbolt™ is available in a zinc & yellow finish in diameters M5-M16 and lengths 30mm-200mm.

A galvanised finish is also available, giving it the added power to last longer in environments with a corrosive atmosphere, such as coastal, marine and industrial locations.

Also available:

ETA certified and CE marked Thunderbolt™ -  for use when there is a legal requirement for safety-critical applications.

Users have peace of mind that ETA certified Thunderbolts™ have undergone independent rigorous testing, and will perform to the level claimed for it. CE marking proves that the Thunderbolt™ has been tested according to European standards, offering traceability and accountability.

HOW IT WORKS

  1. Simply drill a hole the same size as the Thunderbolt™ into the material. Ensure the hole is a little deeper than the bolt to allow for dust – see technical info.
  2. Remove any loose dust from the hole.
  3. Screw in the Thunderbolt™ with a suitable impact driver. Apply a slight downward pressure to start the self-tapping action, as you would with a woodscrew.
  4. Tighten the Thunderbolt™ to secure the fixture in place.
  5. JOB DONE!

Thunderbolt™ is available in six different head styles
